School Uniform
Uniform for boys is grey trousers or shorts, white polo shirt and bottle green jumper or sweatshirt.
Uniform for girls is grey skirt, pinafore or trousers, white polo shirt and bottle green jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan. In summer girls may wear a green checked summer dress or jumpsuit.
The children should wear suitable sturdy school shoes which they can get on and off by themselves. Open-toed sandals and boots are not suitable and should not be worn at school.
Please remember that hair longer than shoulder length should be neatly tied back. This makes it easier for the children when leaning over to work/doing PE and also helps reduce the spread of head lice.
The school does not allow children to wear necklaces or clip on earrings at school. If ears are pierced only plain studs should be worn - hoops or dangling earrings are NOT acceptable. If worn, earrings must be removed by the child before PE lessons or any after school sports activities. The same applies if a child wears a watch, this must be removed before any physical activities are undertaken. The school will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to these items of jewellery.
PE kit is bottle green shorts and white round-necked T-shirt. The children will also need plimsolls for some activities. For Woodland School children also need wellington boots and tracksuit bottoms. These should all be put into a draw-string bag.
It is also recommended that children bring a suitable sun hat into school on hot days.
The office sells water bottles and spare replacement lids/tops for these.

Children are not obliged to wear the logo'ed uniform sold through Price and Buckland but must wear the correct uniform as detailed above.
We have a small amount of second hand uniform in the school office which is available during school open hours for you to look through. We ask for a donation of £1 per item.
Bottle green school winter coats are also available to order but are subject to a minimum order being placed with the supply company.
ALL UNIFORM, INCLUDING COATS AND SHOES SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME AND UNIFORM CHECKED REGULARLY TO ENSURE THIS IS STILL CLEARLY VISIBLE.
Various companies provide iron-on or labels to sew in with your child's name pre-printed on them. Should you need these or self-adhesive labels (including dishwasher proof labels), a company called 'easy2name' will give a commission to the school PTA for any orders placed with them. There is a link to their website at the bottom of this page. When placing your order you will be given the opportunity to select a fundraising group. At this point you will be able to choose Onslow Infant PTA. This will then ensure the commission goes to our school PTA to help them raise funds for the school.
