Our School Day

Drop-off for all children is 8:45 - 9:00am.  Lessons start promptly at 9am so it is important that your child arrives in school on time.

Lunch time is from 11:50am - 13:00pm for EYFS and 12:00pm - 13:00pm for Years 1 & 2.

The school day finishes at 3:00pm.  This amounts to 30 hours in a typical week, including breaks, but not after school activities.

KOOSA Kids operate a breakfast club where children can be left from 7:40am and are taken into their classrooms at 8:45am.  Further details can be found on our website under Parents - Activity Clubs and Extended Day - KOOSA Kids Breakfast and After School Club.

Arrival and Dismissal Expectations at Onslow Infant School

Children arriving after 9am will be marked as late.

Please be reminded that school finishes at 3pm and parents are expected be prompt for collection.

Children being collected after 3pm (with no collection arrangements made) will be recorded as late.

Children must be dropped off and picked up in the designated areas only, children must not play on/with any of the school equipment outside the hours of 9am – 3pm.

For regular pick-up by other adults: These authorised guardians must be listed on the student’s pick-up details with the days they will collect, this information will be held by the school office and the class teacher.

For occasional changes to collection arrangements: A yellow slip must be completed and given to the class teacher or school office on that day.

Students must be dropped off and picked up by a person who is over the age of 14.

Anyone picking up a student must show a valid ID when requested.
