After school club Autumn term 2023

ComputerXplorers is delighted to be able to offer an after school club for years 1 & 2 this term. We will run the club on a Wednesday afternoon and will tackle two great activities during the term.

Digital storybooks: In this course we will be giving the children the opportunity to write and design their own storybook. Their books will be a little different to those that you find in the library as they will be produced on a computer and will feature animated pictures and sound effects to complement the words.

Lego robotics: The children will work in teams of 2 or 3 to build Lego robots which incorporate motors, light and movement sensors and which will be programmed to operate from a computer. They will learn basic engineering and programming principles.

Each lesson will last one hour after school on a Wednesday.

Cost for the 13 sessions is £117 per child. Payment will be split with a Deposit of £20 paid on booking, followed by balance payments on the date of the first lesson and at the start of November.
