2013 was the year the school celebrated 40 years. A lot has changed during that time and the school held a week of special events in early June to mark this occasion.
On Tuesday 4th June the school had a 70's Dressing Up Day. Children and staff dressed in 1970 style clothes and the day started off with a coffee morning for parents and carers held outside in the Green Room.
On Wednesday 5th June we celebrated with a whole school photo including a display of Onslow cup cakes displayed in a number 40. Every child took home a special cup cake at the end of the day. Lunchtime was a street party held in the playground!
On Friday 7th June there was an exhibition of children's work related to the birthday celebrations and the week was rounded off with a family picnic in the early evening. A live band played in the Green Room to a large number of families and the PTA provided a beer and Pimms tent.
During this year the school also started work on an amazing art project for the front entrance of the school. Every child in the school took part in the project workshops as well as older siblings, past pupils and members of the local community. The end result was just fantastic.
